ADHD One retro phone with OLED display combats distractions

While feature phones like the Nokia 105 4G ($59 on Amazon) are becoming increasingly popular as secondary phones with fewer distractions, developer Kevin Noki is taking phone minimalism to the extreme. The ADHD One offers only contact storage and the ability to enter numbers to call contacts or answer calls.
The "Anti Distraction Handset Device" completely forgoes apps, internet features and voice messages. A small OLED display shows incoming calls and allows users to browse saved contacts. The phone also has a speaker, a microphone and a built-in battery that charges via a USB-C port on the bottom. However, the first version of the gadget has a major drawback: the device has no built-in modem.
This means that ADHD One can only be used when the paired smartphone is within Bluetooth range. This makes the phone practical only for use at home or in the office, but hardly suitable for use on the go. A future revision is intended to change that, as the developer is already working on an ADHD with an integrated 4G modem that has its own phone number and can access the cellular network directly.
Pricing and availability
Anyone who wants an ADHD One will have to build it themselves. The developer does at least sell the required STL files for the 3D printer, a list of the required components, and the accompanying firmware for €29.99 ($34). The required electronic components must be purchased separately.
