211 miles of range in 10 minutes: BMW iX3 M60 specs revealed

BMW has offered a detailed preview of the highest-performance version of its upcoming Neue Klasse all-electric midsize SUV. The new BMW iX3 M60 xDrive pairs distinctive styling with a focus on performance, driving range and fast charging. Its technical foundation is the Gen6 electric powertrain, whose 800-volt architecture is designed to bring a substantial improvement in efficiency to the brand's vehicles.
The new M model's figures are closer to those of an electric supercar than a family SUV. One electric motor on each axle produces a combined 450 kW (604 hp) and up to 645 lb-ft of torque. This allows the all-electric BMW iX3 M60 xDrive to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 149 mph. A newly developed stator in the rear motor contributes to the performance gains by enabling significantly higher continuous and peak power output.
Power is only part of the story. BMW is also emphasizing its battery and charging technology. The new high-voltage battery beneath the floor has a usable capacity of 108.7 kWh. According to preliminary factory figures, it should deliver up to 469 miles of WLTP range. Charging performance could be a key advantage over competitors, with BMW promising a maximum DC charging rate of 400 kW. Connected to an 800-volt fast charger, the iX3 M60 xDrive can add enough energy for another 211 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
To keep that power manageable, BMW M GmbH engineers equip the EV with standard adaptive sport suspension, model-specific variable sport steering and an electronically controlled M Sport differential on the rear axle. These vehicle dynamics systems are coordinated by a newly developed high-performance computer called "Heart of Joy," which BMW says can process control commands up to ten times faster than previous systems. Orders for the new BMW iX3 M60 xDrive will open in late January 2027, with production at the new plant in Debrecen, Hungary, starting in spring 2027.
