200 MP and 10,000 mAh: Leaker reveals exciting mid-range smartphone

After the Realme 16 Pro+ ($950 on Amazon) hit the market in January, the launch of its successor is likely only a few months away. @Gadgetsdata has now managed to obtain details about the specifications of a brand-new smartphone, which is said to be the Realme 17 Pro+.
The smartphone is reportedly equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 – a clear indication that it is a mid-range smartphone. Nevertheless, Realme is said to be installing a significantly larger battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh. At least two of the rear cameras are expected to be carried over directly from the Realme 16 Pro+, namely the 200-megapixel main camera and the 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. No further details about the ultra-wide-angle camera are known yet. The smartphone will apparently use a plastic frame instead of aluminum, likely to cut costs.
The OLED display of this purported Realme 17 Pro+ is said to support a refresh rate of 165 Hz, but this will only be available in selected games. The operating system itself will reportedly only be displayed at 120 frames per second. If the leaker's information is correct, the Realme 17 Pro+ is essentially a Realme 16 Pro+ with a new processor, a larger battery and a display with a higher refresh rate. While no details about the launch date are known yet, a January launch is possible if Realme sticks to the schedule of previous models.
