11-inch 2.5K Android tablet announced with 8,200mAh battery and MediaTek processor

itel has announced the VistaTab 32, a new Android tablet featuring an 11-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio.

According to itel, the display reaches 450 nits of brightness, has a 1,500:1 contrast ratio and covers 86% of the front surface. It supports 16.7 million colors.

The tablet uses MediaTek's Helio G100 processor, an octa-core chip with a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A preinstalled office suite supports document editing and other everyday office tasks.

Its 8,200mAh battery is rated for up to 25 hours of movie playback, 19 hours of meetings and 18 hours of gaming. These figures come from itel's laboratory tests, so actual battery life may vary depending on usage and testing conditions. The tablet has a metal unibody measuring 6.8mm (0.27 inches) thick, but itel has not specified its weight on the product page.

Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, dual speakers and a USB-C port. The listed configuration supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 but does not include mobile connectivity. Face recognition is available for unlocking the device, while no dust or water resistance rating is listed.

itel also advertises a smart keyboard case and stylus for studying and office work. However, their availability varies by market. Buyers should check with local retailers to determine whether these accessories are included with the tablet or sold separately.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 4G (currently available on Amazon), which we reviewed, is a close alternative, offering a 90Hz display, quad speakers and 4G connectivity.

The TCL Tab A1 is another option with a 90Hz display and 6GB of RAM. The VistaTab 32 has a higher display resolution on paper, but its refresh rate has not been confirmed.

itel lists the VistaTab 32 in Ash Grey and Pearl White on its Philippines website. The company has not announced a price or specific release date, and availability in other markets remains unconfirmed.
