It has been previously speculated that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro lineup will feature significantly thinner bezels than the current generation, all thanks to BRS (Border Reduction Structure) technology. A recent leak from seasoned tipster 'Ice Universe' has further reinforced the rumor, adding weight to its viability.
In a recent tweet, Ice Universe asserted that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro will further lessen the size of the bezel, likely surpassing even that of the Samsung S24 Ultra (curr. $1,099 on Amazon) and gaining the crown for the thinnest bezel in a smartphone. The earlier rumors have also hinted at bigger screen sizes for these forthcoming 'Pro' iPhones, with the iPhone 16 Pro getting a 6.3-inch screen and the Pro Max getting a phablet-territory 6.9-inch screen. When paired with the rumored ultra-thin bezels, they might boast a lavish screen-to-body ratio.
My friend confirmed that iPhone 16 Pro will reduce bezel, surpassing Galaxy S24 to become the world's narrowest bezel mobile phone, which seems to be very close to the dream form.

With the intention of reducing bezel thickness, BRS technology employs techniques such as rolling the copper wires upward for more efficient circuitry beneath the display, allowing for thinner bezels around it. Further, with recent advancements in heat dissipation methods, this technology appears to have finally become feasible for mass adoption, as previously reported by Sisajournal. Unfortunately, however, there is no word on any expected reduction of the pill-shaped 'dynamic island', which might be a tad disappointing for those who are distasteful of it.
