Vivo releases new V30e 5G smartphone with bright AMOLED display and a 5,500 mAh battery in a 7.6 mm thick body
Vivo continues to expand its V smartphone series, having only recently introduced the V30 SE and V40 SE. Now, it has begun selling the V30e 5G, which has debuted in India. Incidentally, Vivo has also presented the Y38 5G today, hardware details of which we have covered separately.
As for the V30e 5G, Vivo has equipped it will a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which combines four ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores with four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores and an Adreno 710 GPU. Additionally, the V30e 5G finds itself with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that has a 1080p resolution (2,400 x 1,080), a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits peak brightness. Moreover, the large display hides an optical fingerprint scanner, along with a 50 MP front-facing camera.
Furthermore, Vivo has included a 50 MP primary camera based around the Sony IMX882, which it complements with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. As expected, the V30e 5G contains a 5,500 mAh battery, despite its 7.65 mm thickness and 179 g overall weight. For reference, the handset also supports 44 W wired charging, IP64 certification and Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Vivo is selling the V30e 5G in Silk Blue and Velvet Red colour options at launch, both with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, which retail for INR 27,999 (~$335) and INR 29,999 (~$359), respectively.
