Torchlight III goes live on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4

The time has come for many gamers to love or hate Torchlight III for various reasons. However, today is launch day so all we can say is that this title is finally available for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. When we talked about it last time, there was no launch date for the Nintendo Switch version, and today that part has been taken care of: Torchlight III will hit Nintendo Switch on October 22.

The story is set one century later than the one in Torchlight II and provides "a brand new adventure filled with hordes of goblins, undead and other dangerous Netherim creatures." Torchlight III allows players to jump in the boots of a Dusk Mage, Forged, Railmaster, or Sharpshooter, alongside no less than eight pets: Alpaca, Owl, Retriever, Wolf, Dragonling, Eagle, Cat, and Chakawary.

Those who purchase the game today (the price tag reads US$39.99) will get a platform-exclusive Fairy pet, depending on the platform: Violet Glittersprite (Steam), Verdant Glittersprite (Xbox One), and Azure Glittersprite (PlayStation 4). On October 22, the Nintendo Switch players who will purchase the game will get the Ashen Glittersprite pet. As usual, feel free to share your thoughts with the rest of us.
