Anker offers numerous audio products under the soundcore brand - and with the Boom 2 Plus, another model is now available. This is an improved version of the Boom 2, which has already been available for some time. The soundcore Boom 2 Plus is a relatively classic Bluetooth speaker with a focus on good bass and additional functions. First and foremost, there is the lighting: LEDs are mounted on both sides of the Boom 2 Plus. These can also be synchronized with the music but the color and intensity can also be adjusted via the soundcore app.
The manufacturer advertises the IPX7 certification. The speaker is even supposed to float on water - however, this is probably intended more as a safety function than a feature for permanent use. The maximum output power in the standard mode is 100 watts. If BassUp 2.0 is activated, the output sound power even increases to 140 watts - with correspondingly stronger bass. However, the two 1-inch tweeters also increase their output from 15 to 20 watts in BassUp 2.0 mode. There are two 4.5-inch subwoofers, which increase their output from 35 to 50 watts. Two passive radiators are available.
According to the manufacturer, up to 100 PartyCast-enabled speakers can be combined via PartyCast 2.0, and two of the Boom 2 Plus speakers can be joined together to form a true stereo system. With a charging capacity of 30 watts, the soundcore Boom 2 Plus can be charged quickly and the speaker can also be used as a power bank. The model can be pre-ordered at a price of just under 200 euros and is expected to be available from June 5. Currently, pre-order customers will also receive a Motion 100 speaker free of charge.
