Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro leak hints at Apple AirPods Pro-like design

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, expected to launch at the coming Unpacked event, may have a different design than the predecessors. At least, that’s what the leak from @evleaks points to. Instead of featuring an oval shape, it seems that the new wireless buds will adopt a stem-style design, just like the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Gen curr. $189.99 on Amazon).

While this does mean that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro won’t look much different than the competitor, it’s good news for those who want clearer calls. The thing is, stem-style wireless earbuds keep the lower microphone a little closer to the mouth. This eventually allows the microphone to pick up voices better.

Another big improvement that this stem-style design can offer is better stability. So, if Samsung did opt for this redesign with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, these new wireless earbuds will be more secure in the ears, and you should be able to move around without worrying about them falling off.

Moreover, by adopting a design similar to the Apple AirPods Pro, Samsung could possibly integrate a larger battery. This will make the newer Bluetooth earbuds last longer than the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Speaking of which, this leak didn’t go into the specs, but a previous one did shed some light on it.

That leak hinted that the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will feature a dual-driver audio setup with Bluetooth 5.4. It claimed that the upcoming wireless earbuds will deliver 24-bit 96 KHz audio by using a high-end codec, which could likely be the Samsung Seamless Codec HiFi.

The report further claimed that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will offer up to 7 hours of runtime and up to 30 hours of battery life with the charging case. It also hinted that the Bluetooth earbuds will have 360 Audio, SmartThings Find, and Buds Auto Switch.
