If you're building a new PC or want to upgrade your computer's storage, Amazon is discounting a popular Samsung PCIe NVMe SSD to its lowest price ever.

The Samsung 990 EVO is an M.2 2280 SSD that supports both the PCIe Gen 4x4 and PCIe Gen 5x2 standards. This means the NVMe drive supports read and write speeds up to 5 GB/s (or 5000 MB/s) and 4.2 GB/s (4200 MB/s), respectively, according to Samsung. Samsung's EVO SSDs have long been regarded as some of the best in the market, and the 990 EVO currently sits at a 4.5/5 star rating on Amazon. The 1 TB version is on sale at Amazon for 47% off, coming in at $79.99, which is its lowest price ever (according to CamelCamelCamel). 

A few other NVMe drives from Samsung are also on sale, including the 980 Pro with a heatsink (1 TB discounted 46% to $89.14) and the 980 Pro with a heatsink (1 TB discounted 23% to $96.28). Higher capacities of both of these drives are also on sale, albeit at lower discounts. 

If you're in need of external storage wrapped in an attractive case, the Samsung T9 portable USB 3.2 Gen 2 SSD is also on sale, with 1 TB discounted 26% to $129.16, 2 TB cut 24% to $227.85, and a whopping 4 TB slashed 42% to $319.99. Per Samsung, the T9 SSD supports read speeds up to 2 GB/s (2000 MB/s) over USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. The Samsung external SSD is currently rated 4.7/5 stars across 577 ratings on Amazon.
