Roborock has unveiled the Mini Washing and Drying Machine M1 Pure in China, where you can now pre-order the smart home gadget. The device is suited to smaller loads of up to 1 kg (~2.2 lbs) and offers a range of intelligent features. These include automatic drying if you forget to empty the machine after washing and detergent dispensing.

The Roborock Mini Washing and Drying Machine M1 Pure is now available to pre-order in China. The smart home gadget is designed for smaller loads of underwear or baby clothes, offering deep yet gentle cleaning. The model is a successor to the original M1, offering several upgrades like Fresh Gale technology.

The M1 Pure is suited to loads weighing up to 1 kg (~2.2 lbs), which Roborocks estimates to be around 25 pieces of underwear or 80 pairs of socks. After washing, Fresh Gale 3D drying is said to leave your clothes feeling softer, with integrated sensors used to determine when the items are dry and end the cycle. The dryer can rotate up to 4,000 times per minute, and air is said to flow at up to 18 kph (~11 mph). Other features include a 90°C (~194°F) self-cleaning mode, automatic airing if the washer is not emptied within 30 minutes, and automatic detergent dispensing from a 270ml drawer for up to 50 days. Plus, Roborock suggests that the direct drive motor can run quietly, generating 45dB noise, meaning it could run overnight.

There are 20 programs, with settings customized on the built-in touch panel or in the Roborock app. The mini washer and dryer is compact, measuring 428 x 512 x 489 mm (~16.9 x 20.2 x 19.3 inches). You can pre-order the Roborock Mini Washing and Drying Machine M1 Pure in China for the discounted price of 1,999 yuan (~$275) with a 100 yuan (~$14) deposit. After this pre-sale period ends on May 31st, the device is expected to retail for 3,599 yuan (~$500). It is unclear whether or when the product could launch in other markets like the US, where it already sells a wide range of robot vacuums like the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra.
