The Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam is now available to pre-order in the US and the UK. As its name suggests, the smart security camera provides motorized panning and tilting for a large viewing area. Other features include two-way communication, a motion detection alarm, and Amazon Alexa voice commands.

Amazon has announced the new Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam, a smart security camera that is now available to order in the US and coming soon to the UK. The model’s motorized panning motion provides a 360° coverage of the room, and the camera can be tilted up to 169°, helping to reduce blind spots.

The Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam captures 1080P HD resolution video and offers color night vision. As with other Ring devices, it can be controlled via the app, allowing you to remotely check in while away from home and receive motion detection alerts. You can link it to other smart home devices, like an Amazon Echo Dot, allowing Alexa voice commands. Plus, a physical camera shutter provides an extra layer of privacy and security. Other features include two-way communication, custom motion zones and an audible alarm. The device comes with a 30-day trial of RingProtect, a subscription typically charged at $4.99/£4.99 per month, for extras like 180-day cloud storage of footage, alerts for people and an extended warranty.

The security camera is available in five colors, including black and white, plus three new shades: Starlight (cream), Blush (pink) and Charcoal (gray). The new colorways will also be introduced for the Indoor Cam (2nd Gen), expected in late July. You can now pre-order the Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam in the US for $79.99, with shipping due to begin on May 30th. Customers in the UK will be able to purchase the product at the end of May for £69.99. Whether or when the product could launch in other markets like the EU remains to be seen.
