MagyarReliable tipster details iPhone 16 Pro lineup's expected dimensions, bezels to be reduced by up to 30%
As iPhone launch season draws closer, rumors regarding the upcoming lineup have been popping up on the internet regularly. Recently, a leak from prominent tipster Ice Universe claimed that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro lineup will feature significantly thinner bezels, thinner than that of any other smartphone. Now, the leaker, along with tipster Instant Digital has detailed the actual dimensions of the upcoming iPhone Pro lineup, as reported by MacRumors.
As expected from previous rumors, both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to grow in screen real estate, with the 16 Pro getting an expansive 6.3-inch display and the Pro Max getting a massive 6.9-inch display, placing it closer to phablet territory than ever before. Due to the larger screen sizes, the overall dimensions are also expected to increase, with the notable exception of the screen bezel, which is expected to shrink quite a bit.
More specifically, the iPhone 16 Pro will have dimensions of 149.6 mm x 71.45 mm, up from the iPhone 15 Pro's 146.6mm x 70.6. It's also expected to retain the 15 Pro's thickness of 8.25 mm while gaining 7 grams for a total weight of 194 grams. As for the bezels, an almost 30% reduction is expected when compared to the 15 Pro (curr. $934 on Amazon).
Moving over to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the smartphone will have dimensions of 163mm x 77.58 mm, up from the iPhone 15 Pro Max's (curr. $1070 on Amazon) 159.9mm x 76.7mm. Similar to its Pro counterpart, the Pro Max is also expected to gain weight, weighing 225 grams, up from 221. The reduction in bezels for the 16 pro max appears to be more modest, at 26% compared to its predecessor.
