The Radxa Rock 5 ITX is a new single-board computer with decent specs. The system complies with the standard for ITX mainboards and can be used with a standard case.

We have reported on Radxa a number of times before: the company offers various single-board computers. As is typical for such systems, these utilize computing chips based on ARM architecture. The Radxa Rock 5 ITX is a mainboard with such a computing chip, which can be used as a normal PC. Thanks to its compatibility with the ITX standard, it can be installed in a conventional case. Energy is supplied via a corresponding ATX connector, PoE or a circular connector.

The Rockchip RK3588 is used as the computing chip, which has four Cortex A76 and four Cortex A55 cores. An ARM Mali-G610 MC4 graphics solution is integrated into the SoC, along with an NPU with a performance of up to 6 TOPS. Windows cannot be used, but compatibility with Ubuntu and Android is advertised, and Radxa OS is also available as a separate operating system. The LPDDR5 RAM measures 4, 8, 16 or 32 GB.

There is a microSD card slot and an M.2 SSD can be installed. The M.2 M Key slot is connected via two PCIe 3.0 lanes. Thanks to the four SATA ports, hard drives can also be utilized, making the Radxa Rock 5 ITX suitable for the creation of a network storage system, for example. Two HDMI, one DisplayPort, MIPI DSI and eDisplayPort are on board. Image signals are transmitted via HDMI and MIPI CSI. Lastly, there are several USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, and two Ethernet ports with a maximum data transfer rate of 2.5 GBit/s are available.

The motherboard is available from Allnet for a price of around $120.
