AYN Technologies has shared another teaser image for its next gaming handheld. Please note that the company remains quiet about the device's name, as well as almost all technical specifications. Nonetheless, it has now at least shown the device from the front, evidence of which we have embedded below.
In short, the unnamed gaming handheld is the spitting image of the PlayStation Vita (PSP Vita), save for one ergonomic change. Specifically, AYN Technologies has swapped the d-pad and left the joystick around, putting the former below the latter. Additionally, the company has swapped the PSP Vita's PlayStation button for two circular buttons that visually match those on the device's right-hand side. Incidentally, these left-hand buttons appear to be mapped to home and back shortcuts.
Thus, it seems that AYN Technologies' next gaming handheld will run Android rather than Windows. Separately, the company has integrated front-firing speakers within the handheld's bottom edges. Moreover, the device looks as though it has a single USB Type-C port on its top edge, as well as a volume rocker and a dedicated power button. For context, AYN Technologies has already confirmed that the device weighs less than many of its peers and sports a bright Mini LED display, full details of which we have covered separately.
