Casio's upcoming MTS-S100 analog series will feature Tough Solar, sapphire crystal, and vapor deposition gradient dials. As per the company's website, the watches are slated for a January 2025 release.

We recently discussed some feature-rich 'Master of G' series watches by Casio that are due to be released on February 1. Casio also appears to have a new set of standard models in the pipeline, with fresh images and product pages showcasing the upcoming MTS-S100 series. While the company has not officially given us an exact launch date for these models (citing only January 2025 as the release month), the images and accompanying information reveal a lineup of solar-powered timepieces with premium materials and a pretty straightforward design, to say the least.

The new models include the MTS-S100D-1AV, MTS-S100L-1AV, MTS-S100D-5A, MTS-S100D-2AV, and MTS-S100D-3AV. Based on the provided details, all feature Tough Solar technology, a sapphire crystal (with an anti-glare coating) for scratch resistance, and a seconds hand—features that are typically found in more premium watches. The cases measure 47 x 41.7 x 9.5 mm, which makes them relatively compact and well-suited for daily wear.

The watches feature a vapor deposition gradient dial, showcasing green, blue, gray, and reddish-brown dials. Vapor deposition is a thin-film coating process where metal or other materials are vaporized and deposited onto the surface, which results in a smooth gradient color transition. The stainless-steel bracelet variations come with brushed finishing, while at least one model - the MTS-S100L-1AV - appears to feature a leather strap.

Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, making these models suitable for everyday splashes, but not for heavy water exposure. The presence of Tough Solar means they can recharge using ambient light.

At the time of writing, pricing remains unknown.
