Lenovo launches a digital camera that's suitable for vlogging and costs under $100

Lenovo is known for a lot of products but digital cameras like this Fujifilm one have never been one of them. That seems to have changed as a Lenovo-branded digital camera is now available in China. The new Lenovo C55 Digital Camera is a compact camera with a 64MP sensor, among other features.

Available in off-white, the Lenovo C55 Digital Camera has a 64MP Sony CMOS 1/3-inch image sensor, can record in 4K, and has an ISO range of 100-6400. It also has 18x digital zoom, electronic image stabilization, and a built-in flash.

The camera also has a 2.8-inch LCD that serves as the digital viewfinder. In addition to the power button and shutter button at the top, there's a mode dial that allows users to switch between various modes including time-lapse, burst, loop recording, slow motion, special effects/filters, video, and photo. The C55 is also advertised as being suitable for vlogging, thanks to having an O-ring fill light around the sensor and a second shutter button in front.

The Lenovo C55 is available in two storage variants — a 64GB version priced at CNY 499 (~$69/€61) and a 128GB version that's CNY 559 (~$78/€68). The low price tag shouldn't be surprising considering the camera sensor is significantly small and wouldn't be able to capture and record quality images and photos. If you do intend to purchase a camera that can capture high quality images and videos, you'll need one with at least a 1-inch sensor size.

Nevertheless, the Lenovo C55 has a Micro SD card slot for adding extra storage and a built-in 1,300mAh battery that can provide up to 120 minutes of use when taking photos and up to 80 minutes when recording. The spec sheet says it weighs about 190 grams and measures 112 x 71.5 x 34.5 mm. The digital camera is available to buy now on JD.com.
