Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 with Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite leaks prior to official release
WalkingCat (@_h0x0d_) has leaked renders of yet another forthcoming Lenovo 'Snapdragon Edition' laptop. To recap, the Twitter account provided a first look at the Yoga Slim 7 Snapdragon Edition yesterday. In summary, while the unreleased laptop resembles recent Yoga Slim 7 generations, it lacks any analogue audio output to speak of.
By contrast, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 'Snapdragon Edition' features the same ports as the ThinkPad T14s Gen 5 that Lenovo debuted in February during MWC 2024. Specifically, WalkingCat's leaked images show the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x HDMI
- 1x Kensington Lock slot
- 2x USB Type-A
- 2x USB Type-C
Moreover, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 maintains dedicated mouse buttons, a TrackPoint and an active cooling solution. Although the latter is not pictured, the laptop has two grilles on its bottom side, compared to one for the ThinkPad T14s Gen 5. For reference, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 is the second Snapdragon-powered laptop that Lenovo has created after the ThinkPad X13s (curr. $599.99 renewed on Amazon). Not only does the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 have more ports than its smaller sibling, but it will also showcase the Snapdragon X Elite, a considerably more powerful chipset than the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 that powered the ThinkPad X13s. Unfortunately, it is unclear when the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 will be available yet, which is also true of the Yoga Slim 7 Snapdragon Edition.
