Deal | Latest Lenovo Legion Pro 5i with Intel Core i7 and Nvidia RTX 4060 sees a massive $516 discount
Lenovo’s latest Legion Pro 5i (Gen 9) is on sale at the official store. The gaming laptop with Intel Core i7-14650HX and Nvidia RTX 4060 is discounted to $1,313.99, a generous $516 price cut. It’s equipped with 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD and 16 GB of RAM. There are two M.2 slots, so you can expand the storage if needed. Upgrading the memory is also possible, as the two SO-DIMM slots can hold up to 32 GB of DDR5 memory running at 5600 MHz (Crucial 32 GB kit curr. $97.38 on Amazon).
The laptop did really well in our review, securing a respectable score of 89%. We particularly liked the i7-14650HX CPU and RTX 4060 GPU combination, as it allows the system to deliver great gaming performance. While it does come with a robust cooler to keep the performance stable, we noted that the fans can get loud while playing games.
Of course, like any other laptop in 2024, Lenovo marketed the Legion 5i Gen 9 with AI quirks. But as we found in our review, the AI Engine+ of the gaming laptop offered the same and sometimes even worse performance than in the dedicated performance mode.
Another plus point of the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 9 is the keyboard. It is comfortable to type on and has a good backlit. We also liked the display of the gaming laptop. However, you should note that the SKU on sale comes with a screen different from our review model. It’s a 16-inch IPS panel with 300 nits of brightness rating, 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, and a 165 Hz refresh rate.
Other highlights of the gaming laptop include good build quality, a MUX switch for switching between dGPU and iGPU, and decent battery life. To learn more about the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i , read our in-depth written review found at this link or watch our review video attached below.
