The UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA has been released in Japan after its initial showcase there last month. For context, the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA lines up as a larger alternative to the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA, which LG has also launched in Japan this week.
As we discussed previously, the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA appears to share its underlying WOLED panel with the UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE (curr. $912 on Amazon) that debuted last year. As such, the former carries over a 1440p resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GtG response times with an 800R curvature. This time around, LG has added a second DisplayPort 1.4 port though, as well as a USB Type-C port that can recharge connected devices at 65 W.
The UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA also finds itself with webOS as a pre-installed operating system like LG's Smart TVs. In other words, the monitor supports streaming services, whether they be Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and YouTube or Nvidia GeForce Now.
At launch, LG has decided to price the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA at JPY 249,800 (~$1,675), which makes it JPY 10,000 (~$67) more expensive than the UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE when it launched debuted last year. The UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA is earmarked to rise to roughly JPY 328,684 (~$2,204) after its pre-order period ends though. As a result, it remains unclear how much LG will charge for its latest 39-inch gaming monitor in other markets.
