Infinix GT BOOK: Detailed specifications of upcoming gaming laptop leak online
Budget smartphone maker Infinix has some experience making laptops, with models like the Infinix ZERO BOOK 13 and Infinix INBook Y2 Plus launching as low-cost alternatives to more established OEMs. The company now plans to enter the lucrative gaming laptop market (via @StuffListings, @TechAgama on X) with the upcoming Infinix GT BOOK. It comes shortly after the gaming-focused Infinix GT 20 Pro was announced a few days ago.
The Infinix GT BOOK will feature an interesting mix of hardware. For the CPU one can pick between the Core i5-12450H, Core i5-13420H, Core i7-13620H and Core i9-13900H. The cross-gen shenanigans continue with the GPU, too, which offer the GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 4050 and RTX 4060 as choices. Both the CPU and GPU have access to a combined 115 Watts of power, potentially leading to throttling on either, especially under demanding workloads. For memory, you get 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB/1 TB of internal storage.
Infinix plans to throw in a surprisingly decent display on the GT BOOK. It will come with a 16-inch 16:10 panel (resolution unspecified) with 300 nits peak brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut. However, you'll have to play around with in-game settings and enable DLSS to get 120 FPS in most modern-day titles. The laptop is light on I/O with just one USB C, 2x USB A, 1x HDMI ports, an SD card reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Other Infinix GT BOOK specs include Wi-Fi 6E (only on select models), on-the-fly performance switching, a programmable RGB backlight, a 1080p webcam and a 72 Wh battery that comes with a 192 Watt barrel-pin charger. It weighs 1.99 kgs and comes with what the company calls a "Mecha Loop" at the back. Infinix plans to supplement the GT BOOK's launch with peripherals such as a mousepad, gaming mouse and headphones. A release date hasn't been specified, but it will launch in India "soon".
