A new update, version 4.2.0.103 (SP6C00M01), has been released for the Huawei Watch Ultimate. Based on the newer HarmonyOS 4.2, the firmware is said to enhance the smartwatch's stability and may bring bug fixes to the wearable. The software could be rolling out in phases, available to download via the Huawei Health app.

Huawei is rolling out an update for the Watch Ultimate. This is another HarmonyOS 4.2 release, with the smartwatch first receiving the latest operating system in May. This brought new features such as additional watch faces, the TriRings design and an enhanced experience when updating the wearable.

The latest software for the Watch Ultimate, version 4.2.0.103 (SP6C00M01), is a relatively minor update. 73.23 MB in size, the firmware is said to improve the stability of the wearable in “certain situations”. Unfortunately, the change log does not describe where users may feel these benefits. Huaweiblog.de speculates that this update could fix bugs. One such problem that was previously unresolved relates to sleep tracking, which reportedly stopped working after a diving activity. However, Huawei has not officially stated that it has fixed this issue.

You can update the Huawei Watch Ultimate via the Huawei Health app. The company recommends checking you have the latest version of the app installed before you start the process and notes that the smartwatch will restart when the update is complete. It is unclear whether Huawei has pushed this latest release to all wearables or if it is rolling out in phases.
