MagyarHonor Pad 9 Pro: New tablet offers several upgrades over the Honor Pad 9
While the new Honor 200 Lite smartphone is currently being launched in Europe, the company has just unveiled another tablet, the Honor Pad 9 Pro, in its home market of China.
There, Honor offers the new Pad 9 Pro in the Starry Gray and Sky Blue colors in two storage variants. With 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space, it costs 2199 yuan (approx. $310), and the 12 / 256 GB variant costs 2499 yuan (approx. $350).
Information about a global market launch is still pending. The Honor Pad 9, which was presented at the MWC 2024 at the beginning of 2024 and is positioned below the new Honor Pad 9 Pro, is already available in certain countries worldwide, such as the UK.
Instead of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with up to 2.2 GHz, Honor has installed the up to 2.85 GHz MediaTek Dimensity 8100 in the new Pro tablet. The display remains at 12.1 inches with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, 1.07 billion displayable colors, and refresh rates of up to 144 Hz. In addition, the battery is now larger at 10,050 mAh. Charging takes place with up to 35 W.
The features of the new Honor Pad 9 Pro are rounded off by two cameras with 13 MP at the rear and 5 MP at the front, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and four speakers. All of this is packed into a 6.64 mm thin and 589 g case. MagicOS 8.0, based on Android 14, is preinstalled as the operating system. The Honor Pad 9 Pro can also be optionally combined with an external keyboard and stylus.
