Google has announced the launch of its two new flagships, the Pixel 2 and its larger Pixel 2 XL sibling. These devices are mostly positioned as the Android alternatives to the Apple offerings, so it comes as no surprise that they also do not feature headphone jacks.

The moment Google fans around the world have been waiting for is finally upon us, with the tech giants announcing the launch of its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL flagships a few minutes ago at the event in San Francisco. Keeping with the setup from the original Pixels, both devices are similar for the most part, with the largest difference being their display sizes, as the regular Pixel sports a 5-inch display—the Pixel XL going a whole inch larger with a 6-inch one.

Here's a rundown of what you'll be getting from the Pixel 2.

  • 5-inch FHD OLED display
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 5
  • Snapdragon 835
  • 12.2 MP rear camera (f/1.8 aperture, 1.4 μm)
  • 8 MP front-facing shooter

Both devices run on Android 8.0.0 Oreo, and feature the same squeeze technology that was seen on the HTC U11. The Pixel 2 comes in three color options: Just Black, Clearly White, and Kinda Blue; the Pixel 2 XL comes in two: Just Black and Black & White.
