Deal | GoPro Hero 12 Black Amazon deal brings 5.3K action camera price down to lowest ever

The GoPro Hero 12 Black launched in September 2023 with a number of upgrades over its predecessor, including support for HDR in video and photos and updated image stabilisation algorithms.

The normal price of the GoPro Hero 12 Black is $399.99, but for the duration of this Amazon sale, that price is reduced to just $299.99, making it just $50 more than the outgoing GoPro Hero 11 Black (curr. $249.99 on Amazon).

While it is still on the same 1/1.9-inch sensor as last year's GoPro Hero 11 Black, the Hero 12 Black is still competitive with the likes of the $399.99 Insta360 Ace Pro and its 1/1.3-inch sensor. HyperSmooth video 6.0, introduced on the Hero 12 Black, aims to significantly reduce shaky footage — perfect for sports like mountain biking or trail running, which are inherently bumpy.

The GoPro Hero 12 Black is capable of recording 5.3K video at 60 fps, while 2.7K and 4K recording go up to 120 fps. GoPro also claims that its latest action camera is capable of recording video at the highest resolution for 35 minutes before overheating.
