Framework Laptop 13 gets Intel Core Ultra 7 165H and 120 Hz 3:2 display, also available as upgrade kits
With a height of 15.95 millimeters and a weight of 1.3 kilograms, the Framework Laptop 13 is hardly thicker and heavier than the ultrabooks of the competition, and yet it is designed in such a way that most components can be replaced within just a few minutes if you have a screwdriver. In conjunction with the spare parts store, the laptop can not only be repaired but even upgraded.
This is especially true when launching a new model. This is because the Framework Laptop 13 is now also available with Intel Meteor Lake, right up to the Core Ultra 7 165H. The top model therefore has six performance cores with clock frequencies of up to 5.0 GHz, eight efficiency cores, and the integrated Intel Arc iGPU. The second major upgrade is the display, as Framework now uses a 13.5-inch IPS panel in 3:2 format, which achieves a resolution of 2,880 x 1,920 pixels, a frame rate of 120 Hz, a contrast ratio of 1,500:1 and a brightness of 500 nits.
The new 9.2 MP webcam should record better 1,080p videos, especially in low light. Framework installs a 61 Wh battery and four ports, which can be freely selected when ordering and can even be exchanged after purchase. Framework supplies four USB-C ports as standard, but each of these can be replaced with USB-A, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, an SD or microSD card reader, or even a 1 TB SSD.
