First pictures of the Sony Xperia XA3 leak, confirm rumors so far
Sony's upcoming launches at MWC 2019 are not exactly a secret now and one of the devices we've been hearing about, apart from the highly anticipated Snapdragon 855-powered Xperia XZ4 flagship, is the Xperia XA3. So far, we've only seen the XA3 in renders but the first pictures of the upcoming mid-ranger from Sony have managed to find their way online.
A Chinese website, Sumahoinfo.com, posted screen grabs from a video that has since been taken down. These pictures show a pretty tall display with narrow bezels. Looks like Sony has finally hopped onto the bezel-less display bandwagon although, the trend was already mainstream by the time the Xperia XA2 had launched. However, it remains to the seen how well Android apps scale on what appears to be a 21:9 aspect ratio 5.9-inch 2560 x 1080 screen.
The back of the phone seems to sport a horizontal dual-camera setup with an LED flash on top. From what we gather, the primary sensor could be a 23 MP one. We also see three physical buttons to the right that include the power and volume control with a possible fingerprint sensor in between.
Specs-wise, full details are still unclear at this point but we did spot a listing of the device on Geekbench indicating a Snapdragon 660 SoC. What could be a bit unfortunate though, is the fact that the device might still ship with Android 8.1 Oreo onboard instead of Android 9.0 Pie.
We should be getting more information as we head closer to the official release so stay tuned.
Update: We removed the images due to a request from the original copyright holder of the video. Currently they can still be seen in the sources links (see below).
