DJI Power 500 and Power 1000: First DJI power stations launched with a special charging port for drones
DJI, previously known primarily for its drones and gimbals, is expanding its product portfolio to include a new area: power stations. The DJI Power 1000 and Power 500 have been officially launched for sale today.
The DJI Power 500 is the more compact and smaller model of the two new power stations from DJI and, with a weight of 7.3 kg, is easier to transport. In return, it has a battery capacity of 512 Wh and a maximum output power of 1,000 W. The new Power 500 is available now directly from the manufacturer.
The new DJI Power 1000 can also be ordered starting today in the manufacturer's store https://store.dji.com/product/dji-power-1000but is around twice as expensive with an RRP of 999 euros. In return, it offers more power with 1,024 Wh and 2,200 W, which also results in a higher weight of approx. 13 kg.
Both power stations can be fully charged within 70 minutes. According to the manufacturer, charging to 80 percent is completed within 50 minutes. The power stations can be charged either via a socket, solar panels, a car socket, or USB-C.
Power is supplied, for example, via the 230 V sockets or the various USB ports with up to 140 W and PD 3.1 for the Power 1000 and 100 W and PD 3.0 for the Power 500.
Both power stations also offer a special SDC port (Power 500: SDC Lite), which is designed for fast charging of DJI drones, among other things. The battery of selected models such as the DJI Mavic 3 series (available on Amazon) should be charged from 10 to 95 percent in just 30 minutes to enable the longest possible uninterrupted flights with as few flight batteries as possible. A UPS function for an uninterruptible power supply is also on board the two new power stations from DJI.
