Deal | Apple's 9th Generation iPad slashed by $100 on Amazon

With the announcement of Apple's new iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro, Amazon is running a sale on the 9th Generation iPad. The 10th Generation iPad is also available at its new lower price.

Those that prefer the older style of the iPad or a physical home button may want to look at the 9th Generation iPad. Launched in 2021, the 9th Generation iPad has Apple's A13 Bionic beating at its heart, the same chip that powered the iPhone 11. This iPad has a smaller 10.2-inch Retina display with a 2160x1620 resolution. The 9th Gen iPad scored 89% in our review, bolstered by its good build quality and excellent 13.5-hour battery life (as measured by our WiFi websurfing battery test).

The 9th Generation iPad is on sale for a $100 discount on Amazon. The 64 GB model is listed at $249, which almost matches its all-time low price. The 256 GB model sits at $379, which matches its lowest price ever. Adding cellular connectivity raises the price by $200 for either model.

The 10th Generation iPad, which debuted in 2022, has been permanently-price dropped to $349, which matches its all-time lowest price. The tablet is powered by Apple's A14 Bionic SoC which also powered the iPhone 12 line of phones. It has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2360x1640.

The tablet scored 89% in our review, impressing us with its fast SoC (which should still provide plenty of power even today) and excellent build quality. The tablet lasted roughly 10 hours in our WiFi websurfing battery test. It also marked a shift in the iPad's design, being the last Apple tablet to ditch the Home button.

The 10th Generation iPad is priced at $349 for the 64 GB model and $499 for the 256 GB model. Adding cellular connectivity bumps each respective price by $150. Keep in mind that this is a permanent price cut for the tablet.
